DIDDY, JAYZ, DRAKE TOP FORBES'S 2015 HIP-HOP HIGHEST EARNERS LIST


On Tuesday, Forbes released its 2015 Hip-Hop Cash Kings list, with Diddy topping the list. Below is the list and the amount earned by each Hip-Hop artist.


1. Sean Combs (Diddy) :$ 60 million

You rarely see Diddy perform these days, but he continues to rake in bulks of cash from the fruits of a reputation forged in music, TV network Revolt, clothing line Sean John,  alkaline water brand Aquahydrate and Ciroc vodka.

Jay-Z: $56 million


Jay-z 

Jay-z earnings was boosted by his 22 shows with wife, BeyoncĂ©. More to that, he earns bulk of bucks from entertainment company Roc Nation and Armand de Brignac champagne. Even without the impact of his new streaming service, Tidal,  jay-z has taken business game to previously unimaginable height.

3. Drake: $39 million


Drake 

Drake becomes one of the highest earners thanks to his nightly average gross of nearly $1 million. 

Also boosting his earning is his gold-certified surprise record 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late'  and endorsement for Sprite and Nike. 


4. Dr. Dre: $33 million


Dr. Dre
Selling Beats earned Dr. Dre $620 million last year, the top annual payday of any musician, ever. Despite a year-over-year drop of more than half a billion dollars, Dre makes the list, thanks to smaller earnings from Apple and his production catalogue.

5. Pharrell Williams: $32 million


Pharrell 

Pharrell williams completes the first five top earners. The 'happy' singer clocked a multimillion-dollar checks from touring, music, and his role as a judge on the reality show, The Voice.

Not to be forgotten also is his Billionaire Boys and Ice Cream clothing lines from where he makes additional bucks.

6. Eminem: $31 million
7. Kanye West: $22 million
8. Wiz khalifa: $21.5 million
9. Nicki Minaj: $21 million
10. Birdman: 18 million
