6 MORE ANDROID TIPS AND TRICKS YOU NEED TO KNOW.





The android OS presents its users with many simple tips and tricks that can make its use to be a lot easier and more fun filled.

This post features six of such useful tips and tricks that will improve your experience while using your android devices

1. Disabling Apps Notifications 

Many times on your screen you have apps notification that wont just stop coming over and over again. Apart from being very annoying, these apps notifications  also drain your battery.

To turn such notifications off;

1. Long press on the unwanted notification in your notification bar

2. Tap on App info  and deselect show notification. Users running lollipop version of android should toggle on Never show notifications from this app.



Alternatively,
1. Go to  Settings

2. Click on Apps

3. Swipe to All

4. Select the app whose notifications you want to stop

5. Deselect show notifications





2. Setting mobile data limit

You can keep track of your  data usage over a period of time (e.g monthly)by setting the mobile data limit.

1. Go to settings > Data usage

2. Toggle on  set mobile data limit

3. Drag the orange line to your monthly data quota



When your data usage reaches the limit you set you will be alerted.
You can also adjust the date cycle by manually inputting any  date you have in mind. This will show the amount of data that you used over that period set.

3. Adding multiple Google accounts

Google account is needed to run an android phone effectively. Having more than one google account on your android device won't be a bad idea especially you need different accounts for different google services.

1. Go to your Settings and click on Account

2. Click Add account  and select Google

3. Set up your new google account or choose an existing one



4. Disabling Automatic App Update

In order to prevent Google playstore from updating your applications automatically you need to disable that feature right from playstore.

1. Click on Playstore on your menu screen

2.  Click on the customization button on your playstore account


3. Select Settings and tap on Auto-update apps

4. Select Do not auto-update apps or auto-update apps over wifi only


5. Changing Defaults Apps

You might have set an app to do some task by default but now you wish to change it.  For example,  if you set Google Chrome as a default app to open all Internet pages and now wish to clear it's default stance and choose another browser, this is how..

1. Go to settings and tap on Apps

2. Swipe to the left until you reach the All tab

3. Select the app you want to remove from default


4. Tap on clear default. 


6. Disable Animation

The animations of your Android device slows it down by some fractions,  so it's reasonable to disable the animations or at least reduces it's value from the default 1x to 0.5x.
