NEW FEATURES IN WINDOWS 10 FIRST BIG UPDATE + YOU'D LOVE IT

Few days ago( Nov 12, 2015) Microsoft pushed out its first big update to Windows 10 via Windows update. This update fixes a lot of problems with windows 10. In this new update,  Microsoft is streamlining Windows 10 activation, restoring colored window, integrating Skype, improving the Edge browser, and more.

Windows 10 Activation With 7, 8 and 8.1 Product key

Activation of Windows 10 has been nothing short of confusion but this has now been fixed. With this new update you can now enter the product key of your PCs Windows 7, 8, and 8.1. This should activate properly if that PC was eligible for the update.

Install Apps on SD

Incase your device has a low memory you can now install Windows 10 apps on another drive, like SD card. This feature has been re-enabled in the latest update. To me, this is one of the most important features in the update.

Colored Title Bars

Microsoft included in this update the Colored Title Bars. If you do not like the standard white title bars, all you need doing is to go to Settings >Personalization > Colors,  and enable the 'show color on start, task bar, action center, and title bar.' Any color that you choose will be used for your title bars.

Start Menu App Advert

The Start Menu will now recommend apps you should install when you open it. This new feature encourages Windows 10 users to install and use more apps from the Microsoft store.

You can easily disable this feature through settings > Personalization > Start and disable "occasionally show suggestions in start"  option.

Track Your PC

Windows 10 now has abuilt-in tracking that enables you to track your laptop or tablet in case you lose it, through GPS and location services. Windows 10  can now periodically send your device's location to Microsoft's servers, allowing you to view its last location if you ever lose it.

Optional Windows 10 Background on Login Screen

You can now also change the Windows 10 Background on the login screen to a blank one. To do this, go to Settings > Personalization > Lock Screen and disable the 'show windows background picture on the sign-in screen' option if you'd love to use a plain - color background. But to use a custom background image,  you will need some bit of hacking skills.

Other changes included in the new update are:
—Browser sync and Tab previews on Edge Browser.
—Integration of Skype and Sway.
—Start menu and context menu become more polished.
—Touch Improvements like that of Windows 8.
—Cortana no longer requires Microsoft account in other to function.
—Windows will manage your default printer,
— and more

    1. It's obviously your Internet connection. It will be more so if your connection is through tunneling apps like simple server or psiphon because windows 10 uses a ssl connection which is not applicable to the tunneling apps. So try using a direct connection or better still, use a vpn service with ur tunneling app
