HOW TO FIX A PHONE AFTER A DIP IN WATER

It is normal to panic when you accidentally drop your phone in water. The reason for panicking is because a, dip inside water of a phone may render it useless, or if it's still going to function, it would take quite sometime for it to regain its full functionality.

But really, getting your phone wet is absolutely nothing to worry about because there is always a solution, and in order for the solution to be effective you have to take note of the following:

I. Retrieve the phone from water immediately.

II. Do not make the mistake of turning on the phone if it was already off.

III. Avoid heating the phone and do not cool it with a freezer. Do not blow dry it also as this could send water into interior places of the phone that did not have water.

The Fix

1. Turn off the phone and remove the sim,   SD card and battery if it's a removable         one.

2. Suck out any excess water you see with a vacuum after removing the battery.

3. You can now bury the phone inside a bowl of rice for a while or even days for all the water to get sucked out. Yes, a bowl of uncooked rice  because rice absorbs liquid.

4. Remove the phone from the bow of rice and insert the sim card, SD card and battery.

Your phone should be in a good condition after this procedure.

NOTE:

Water resistance capability of a phone depends on how deep the water is and for how long the phone stays in water.
