Yesterday, January 16, Infinix mobility started rolling out yet another update to the Infinix Hot Note series. This update(0115) by the way, is the 6th or 7th update that the series would be having since its first upgrade to the lollipop version of Android OS, and I tell you, it has some really cool added features.
The first feature I was attracted to in this update is the Live Photo feature. This feature was first introduced into the smartphone industry by Apple when it included it in the iPhone 6S flagship. And just recently, the feature was included into the latest upgrade of the android app, Camera MX.

Comparing the Live Photo feature on Hot Note to that of the android app Camera MX or that on iPhone 6s, you could say the Infinix team still has more job to do. But really, this feature appearing in the Hot Note for a start is a good step in the right direction.
The 3 finger screenshots is another cool feature in the update. So you do not need to use some buttons combo or the screenshots button in d status bar. Just swipe down the screen with three fingers simultaneously and you will have a shot of the screen taken.
The 0115 update also comes with a an Infinix built music player. This replaces the Google Music on earlier versions. The Infinix Music has some cool features, better than Google Music I will say.
The complete new features added to this update are:
- XUI upgraded to 1.N.1.2
- Optimized rear camera effect
- Added 3 finger screenshot feature
- Added Infinix Music(replaces Google Music)
- Added full charge countdown time on lockscreen display
- Added XCloud App
- Optimized system stability and performance while fixing other issues.
If you are yet to root your device you can download this update via OTA and install. In case if your device already has root, go to the Infinix Mobility official site, download the full firmware of the previous version(1218 version), flash using SP flash tool(SEE GUIDE HERE), then upgrade to this latest version via OTA
