HOW TO UNDO AN ACCIDENTAL EMAIL

Have you ever  had to deal with an accidental email? Maybe you sent an email but within seconds of sending the mail you realized it was an incomplete mail or a mail addressed to the wrong person. Or could it be that you forgot to add an important attachment to the mail sent to a prospective employer or perhaps you got the spelling of the person name wrong?

Well, sending an email by accident is already a thing of the past for those who use Gmail and the Inbox by Gmail app.

How to enable the 'Undo' feature

 1.  Enter Gmail Settings

2. Under the General tab, select to Enable Undo Send feature.

3.  Set a *cancellation period of between 5 and 30 seconds.

4.  Click Save the changes.

Henceforth, after you send an email, an Undo page like the one in the snapshots below will appear briefly, depending on the cancellation period that you set, giving you the option to undo your sent email.

*The cancellation period is how long time in seconds that you have to undo a sent message.
