RE:HOW TO FIX ERROR 0X80004005 ON YOUR PC

Error 0X80004005 comes up in association with any of your programs. Usually, this error is either on a virtual box or when you are trying to access a shared folderfolder.

Causes of error 0x80004005 these days may be a missing or corrupt DDL files and corrupt registry.


Now let's see the different ways this error can be fixed.

PROCEDURE 1

I.    Download RegCure Pro and install it on your PC 

II.   Run the installed RegCure Pro as an administrator and start the scan of your        PC 

III. Once the scan is done, proceed by clicking on "Fix All"

IV. Enter any of the activation codes below if the program requested for one.

V. Run this program regularly on your PC in order to achieve best result.

Note: Make sure that your PC is not connected to the internet when activating or running the program.

Procedure 2

This procedure is used if the error is on a virtual box. 

1. Hold Windows Key and Press R

2. Type regedit and Click OK

3. Go to the following registry path:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows NT  > Current version > AppCompatFlags > Layers] “C:\Program Files > Oracle > Virtual Box > VirtualBox.exe”=”DISABLEUSERCALLBACKEXCEPTION”

If you could find the key, delete it and try again. If deleting the key does not help, then try disabling your antivirus. If  it still doesn’t works then:

I) Uninstall your antivirus, test it and then reinstall it.

II) Replace your antivirus with another one. 

Procedure 3

This procedure is used if the error involves a shared folder and it involves using Regedit to create a LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy Value.

1. Hold Windows Key and Press R

2. Type regedit and click OK

3. Navigate to the following path in regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > Current version > Policies > System

4. Right click on the right section of the page. 

5. For 32 bit system, create a new DWORD value called LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy.

6. For a 64 bit system, create a QWORD (64-bit) called LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy.

In either case, set the value to numeric 1 (meaning on), and remember to click OK.

Usually, the LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy value gets created before you have a chance to set the data value; no problem, just double-click and modify the data from 0 to 1.
