A NIGERIAN, JACKSON IGWEBUIKE, ARRESTED WITH $10 MILLION WORTH OF ICE APPEARS IN COURT

A Nigerian man who was arrested with $10 million worth of the drug 'ice' (also called methamphetamine, meth, crystal, or chalk) in his possession in Canberra, the capital city of Australia, has appeared in court.

Igwebuike who is in Australia on a student visa, was charged with attempting to possess a 10 kilograms of the drug that the police believe was illegally imported from China.

Earlier in the month, the Australian Border Force in Sydney had intercepted a consignment of three Chinese statues containing the drugs.  ACT police took control of the operation and continued with a controlled delivery of the drugs to Canberra.

Police alleged that the drugs which were concealed in the statues were delivered to a property in Canberra North and collected by Igwebuike.

The Police also said Igwebuike had the packages on him when he was arrested.

Igwebuike, a university of Canberra student, arrived  in Australia in July on the student visa.
