A QUICK GUIDE WHEN PICKING YOUR NEXT SMARTPHONE

When it comes to smartphones there are so many pools to choose from. And with the hundreds of smartphone devices released every year, it can be such a headache to know which one to pick from.
This simple guide will help you to make a decision easily in your search for a new smartphone device.

1. Start with a fixed budget.

Set a hard budget and let it be reasonable and readily available. This is by far the most reasonable thing to do first. You let your pocket decides what you want. Once this is done,  every other thing will fall into place.

2. Do a market survey of what is available.

With your budget in mind, you should then proceed to make a list of all the smartphone brands that you like and then pick specific models that fit into your budget. One caution to adhere to is to avoid the urge to change your budget if some of the smartphones did not fit into it.

3. Trim down your list

Now is the time to filter yourlist. Filter down your list based on:

I. Operating system

What do you want?  Is it an Android, iOS, Blackberry or Windows phone? If you chose iOS or Windows or Blackberry, then the choices of picking a phone is pretty easier. However, if you pick Android then it gets more interesting as there are so many smartphones running the Android OS.

II. Display size

The typical display size these days is between 5 inches to 5.5 inches. So you should be fine around that. Also pay attention to the screen resolution of display. The different resolutions are 720p, 1080p and even more. 720p is decent but 1080p is the full HD.

III. Internal Hardware.

The performance of a smartphone is determine by the Processor and RAM. A quad-core (4 cores) processor with a 2GB of RAM is a very good choice. A true octa-core (8 core) running with a 2GB of RAM or more will be very brilliant for heavy gaming and multitasking.

IV. Storage

Storage sizes in smartphones. There are 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB. You choose based on the amount of files you think you might store on your smartphone. But since many smartphones make a room for the usage of an external storage in the form of a microSD you may decide to to choose a phone of 16GB internal storage size.

V. Battery Life.

This should be an important part of your list because a smartphone is of no good if the battery can't last you up to about 16-20hrs. So a good smartphone battery should be in the range of 3000mAh or more. It is also good if the battery is user replaceable. The availability of powerbanks for smartphones has to a large extent solve the issue of low battery in smartphones.

VI. Camera

This won't be much a problem for you because most smartphones now have good camera that can record good photos and videos. 8MP camera is the most common one now. There are also 13MP, 16MP and more.

Following this guide will help you choose a smartphone that fits into your budget and as well has all the features you need on a smartphone.
